Fraudsters are back at it again trying to scam and “phish” financial information from the public.  The scammers are using the number 865-6696 (no area code)  or (203) 262-1564 with a prerecorded message telling people to call back the number to unblock their debit card.  When someone calls the number they are prompted to enter their debit card number and PIN. 

If you receive a call from this number, or any number for that matter, DO NOT give them any information.  The First National Bank in Paxton already has your card information and can independently verify your identity.  If you receive any call wanting to unblock your card or any activity regarding your finances, call First National Bank in Paxton immediately (217) 379-2336.  We will never call you to confirm financial information, or ask you for any over the phone.
